***Important Update Regarding Recent SBA PPP Legislative Approvals***

The CARES Act Team at Riverview Bank has been working diligently to help our customers during this challenging pandemic. If you believe you qualify for either a SBA PPP First Draw or Second Draw Loan, and wish to apply with Riverview Bank, please contact our or visit your local Community Office. Additionally, we have attached a SBA PPP Borrower Application Checklist. This contains a comprehensive list of supporting documents that will be required as part of your submission. If you plan to submit an application, please review the application checklist and assemble the documents in preparation for the application submission process.

To determine if you are eligible, you can review the First Draw Interim Final Rule here (see page 13 for eligibility) and the Second Draw Interim Final Rule here (see page 20 for eligibility). As a reminder, a key eligibility requirement for a SBA PPP Second Draw Loan, is that borrowers must have experienced (and demonstrate) a revenue reduction of 25% or greater in 2020 as compared to the same period in 2019.

Please note, due to the anticipated overwhelming demand for the new round of PPP funds to be administered through the SBA, Riverview Bank will not be accepting or processing applications from borrowers who previously applied through Liberty SBF, or from applicants that are outside of our primary market areas within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

***Important Update Regarding Forgiveness Processing***

Special Note on Forgiveness Applications: The new legislation includes changes to the forgiveness process for loans of $150,000 and less, which may greatly simplify documentation requirements. Accordingly, if you are a borrower with a PPP loan of $150,000 or less and have not yet begun the forgiveness process, you may benefit from delaying your forgiveness submission until the SBA issues definitive guidance. If you have a PPP loan of $150,000 or less and you have not yet received your forgiveness application link, Riverview Bank may delay sending it until the new requirements have been confirmed. We continue to diligently process all completed forgiveness applications already submitted. Please know that delaying the submission of your forgiveness application will not create any negative impact to your ability to apply for and receive forgiveness (if eligible), as borrowers have a deferral period of up to 10 months following the end of the “loan forgiveness covered period” to submit their PPP forgiveness applications. Your “loan forgiveness covered period” is the period beginning on the date of disbursement of the PPP Loan funds and generally ending on the earlier of: (1) the date that is 24 weeks after the date of disbursement of the PPP Loan funds or (2) December 31, 2020. For many borrowers, the end of the deferral period is mid-2021. No payments of principal or interest are due during this deferral period, and the principal and interest due will be paid by the SBA upon full forgiveness approval from the SBA. Once we receive definitive guidance from the SBA on the new forgiveness rules for loans of $150,000 and less, we will be in touch with these borrowers to provide additional instructions. Please note, the Bank cannot provide legal, accounting or tax advice.

When we open the forgiveness application process for your specific loan, you will receive a secure portal link by email. This is the only method by which loan forgiveness applications will be accepted. Please note, documents sent outside of the link CANNOT be accepted or retained. We encourage you to regularly view the SBA website for updated information and to work with your tax, financial, and/or legal advisors to determine your specific eligibility.

Our dedicated CARES Act Relief team is available for the community, providing education and expertise on all resources offered by government agencies through the SBA, CARES Act Relief Programs, and other state government agency programs, such as:

  • U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), providing loans through Riverview Bank that are supported by the SBA with a 100% loan guarantee. This program is intended to provide funding for businesses to retain employees on their payroll, with initial loan payment deferrals and debt forgiveness provisions for eligible borrowers.
  • U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EILP), providing low-interest federal disaster loans for small businesses impacted by COVID-19

2021 PPP Borrower Application Checklist

FINANCIAL HARDSHIP RELIEF RESOURCES

1 Borrower must recently be unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Borrower must be able to furnish last pay stub or other acceptable proof of income. Subject to credit approval. Standard underwriting criteria apply. Credit score based on lowest score of all applicants. Automatic Payment Deduction from a Riverview checking or savings account is required. 0.00% APR (Annual Percentage Rate) for the first six (6) months of the loan, thereafter the loan will accrue at a 2.99% APR for 18 months of the term. 24-month term loan. No Payments for the first six (6) months of the loan. Thereafter, payments of principal and interest will start at month seven (7) and will continue 18 months for the life of the loan. Other terms and conditions may apply. If maximum loan amount of $5,000.00 is borrowed and repaid making the required loan payments only, the monthly payment will be 18 equal payments of $284.40 to satisfy the loan.
